The greatest strength of the OC Regional Council is our collective 900 members, independent small cannabis business owners and homestead farming families from all across California. Origins Council has a new initiative underway to amplify the visibility of our communities’ pioneering entrepreneurs who have courageously stepped forward to build the state’s regulated cannabis industry.

The inaugural California State Fair Cannabis Awards is a milestone in the movement to have cannabis recognized as a commercial specialty crop of California. Celebrating California’s rich agricultural history, this year for the first time ever, cannabis is joining the official California State Fair roster of coveted annual competitions, including wine, cheese, olive oil, and craft beer.
